From the 11. – 13.09. Heilbad Heiligenstadt transforms into a colorful festival mile, because the Interest group of tradespeople invites you to 33. Fest der Möhrenkönige This year we are celebrating on the newly designed Wilhelmstrasse in a very special ambience.

Highlights of the city festival:
3 stages – 3 days of live music with cover bands, regional & international acts
Large fairground park in the extended Wilhelmstraße
Traditional beer mushrooms operated by Heiligenstadt clubs
Local shopping: On Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. invite retailers to go shopping with great promotions

Grilled delicacies, Arabic food, drinks, and cocktails will provide entertainment and enjoyment. Musical accompaniment and the popular night watchman tour will round out the evening. Festival of Lights

Der Verein „Interessengemeinschaft Heilbad Heiligenstadt“ veranstaltet am Freitag, 30. Oktober, ein Lichterfest am Wilhelm. Das Fest beginnt um 17 Uhr mit einer Fahrradversteigerung am Marktplatz, moderiert von Bürgermeister Thomas Spielmann. Höhepunkte sind eine Feuershow um 20 Uhr und ein großes Feuerwerk um 21 Uhr. Die Geschäfte am Wilhelm haben bis 21 Uhr geöffnet, und die Innenstadt wird durch Illuminationen erleuchtet. Videowände zeigen historische Bilder Heiligenstadts.

Christmas market

Vom Samstag, 5. Dezember 2026, bis Dienstag, 22. Dezember 2026, erstrahlt die romantische Altstadt von Heiligenstadt unter dem Motto „Lichterglanz & Märchenzauber“. Besucherinnen und Besucher können die festliche Dekoration, eine beeindruckende neun Meter hohe Pyramide und die Weihnachtskrippe bewundern. Zahlreiche Stände bieten eine Vielfalt an weihnachtlichen Angeboten, und die stimmungsvolle Beleuchtung sorgt für eine zauberhafte Atmosphäre.

Children can look forward to storytelling, puppet shows, an Advent cinema, a craft workshop, and a visit from Santa Claus. Live music will accompany visitors while they enjoy the market's culinary delights. A separate program booklet will provide information about all the highlights and events.
