From the 12. – 14.09. Heilbad Heiligenstadt transforms into a colorful festival mile, because the Interest group of tradespeople invites you to 32nd Carrot King Festival This year we are celebrating on the newly designed Wilhelmstrasse in a very special ambience.
Highlights of the city festival:
3 stages – 3 days of live music with cover bands, regional & international acts
Large fairground park in the extended Wilhelmstraße

Festival of Lights
The Heilbad Heiligenstadt Interest Group is hosting a festival of lights at Wilhelm Square on Friday, October 25. The festival begins at 5 p.m. with a bicycle auction on the market square, hosted by Mayor Thomas Spielmann. Highlights include a fire show at 8 p.m. and a grand fireworks display at 9 p.m. The shops at Wilhelm Square will be open until 9 p.m., and the city center will be illuminated. Video screens will show historical images of Heiligenstadt.

Christmas market
From Thursday, December 5, 2024, to Sunday, December 22, 2024, the romantic old town of Heiligenstadt will be aglow under the motto "Glittering Lights & Fairytale Magic." Visitors can admire the festive decorations, an impressive nine-meter-high pyramid, and the nativity scene. Numerous stalls offer a variety of Christmas items, and the atmospheric lighting creates a magical atmosphere.
Children can look forward to storytelling, puppet shows, an Advent cinema, a craft workshop, and a visit from Santa Claus. Live music will accompany visitors while they enjoy the market's culinary delights. A separate program booklet will provide information about all the highlights and events.
